THE-ICE is delighted to welcome Wyższa Szkoła Gospodarki (WSG) University in Bydgoszcz as the newest Accredited C2Q Member of THE-ICE network. The addition of WSG sees THE-ICE membership grow to include 41 members in 21 countries, a step further in THE-ICE’s mission to significantly and sustainably enhance the quality of higher education in tourism, hospitality and events (TH&E) globally.
Founded in 1999, WSG was first known as Pomeranian University of Tourism and Hotel Management. The University was founded by KOLFER Company – one of the first private institutions in the region that was professionally engaged in national and international tourism. In January 2005 the institution’s name was officially changed to Wyższa Szkoła Gospodarki, which translates in English to The University of Economy in Bydgoszcz.
WSG University in Bydgoszcz have recently celebrated their 30th anniversary, and are currently the largest private institution of higher education in Northern Poland. WSG University in Bydgoszcz provides education to approximately 20 thousand students from all over Poland and abroad, in 20 fields of study with over 50 specialties. This institution aims to teach students both soft and hard skills that are currently essential in multinational and multicultural Europe.
