About Mary’s Meals

Founded in Scotland in 2002, and united by a shared vision of providing a daily meal in a place of education to every child who needs it, Mary’s Meals is a global movement which sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education

Mary’s Meals helps to transform the lives of hundreds of thousands of impoverished children around the world and has served more than one billion meals, with the billionth meal served in Noida, India, in 2017.

Schools that receive Mary’s Meals support report a significant rise

in rates of enrolment, attendance and academic performance.

Mary’s Meals are determined to keep their promise of a nutritious daily meal in school to those children already enrolled in their school feeding programme and – as funds allow – reach out to the next hungry child.

Mary’s Meals is also committed to keeping running costs low, with at least 93% of donations being spent on their charitable activities.
