Recently, THE-ICE was delighted to announce and congratulate the recipients of THE-ICE Research Grant Scheme (RGS) 2021:

Further, THE-ICE RGS 2021 has already spurred further collaboration between three member institutions – Dr Ali Abdallah (Stenden Qatar University of Applied Sciences, Qatar) & Dr Chris Dutt (Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, United Arab Emirates) will collaborate with researchers from fellow C2Q Accredited Member of THE-ICE, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands, to complete their proposed project. The interinstitutional team have finalised their research plan and commenced the data collection phase, and will soon be moving on to transcription and data analysis. They report that the wider collaboration has been positive and successful.
THE-ICE was pleased to receive three times as many applications as for the inaugural RGS in 2019 and, as always, was impressed by the high calibre of research and ideas being produced within our member institutions and their networks. The outcomes of THE-ICE RGS 2021 research projects will be presented at the International Panel of Experts (IPoE) Forum 2021, to be proudly hosted by University of Derby in Buxton, United Kingdom, with the theme Securing our Future – Exploring Sustainability in & of Tourism and Hospitality Education.
