THE-ICE is delighted to welcome Manila Central University (MCU), Philippines, to its global network as the newest Observer of THE-ICE. With the addition of MCU, THE-ICE now comprises 37 members, including 27 accredited institutions, further strengthening our commitment to excellence in tourism, hospitality, events, and culinary education worldwide.
Located in Caloocan, Metro Manila, MCU is a private, non-sectarian higher education institution with a proud heritage dating back to 1904. Originally founded as Escuela de Farmacia del Liceo de Manila, MCU has become one of the Philippines’ leading private universities. Throughout its long and storied history, the university has remained deeply rooted in its legacy while embracing a forward-looking, dynamic approach to higher education.
