At the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of THE-ICE, held on 28 September 2026 during THE-ICE 19th International Panel of Experts (IPoE) Forum in Brig, Switzerland, Professor Mei-Jung Sebrina Wang, Vice-President of National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (NKUHT), Taiwan, was elected as a Director of THE-ICE Board.
Professor Wang brings extensive experience in tourism and hospitality education and international engagement to the Board. Her appointment further strengthens the representation of THE-ICE global network and its commitment to advancing quality and innovation in tourism and hospitality education internationally.
Professor Wang also contributed to THE-ICE IPoE Forum 2026 as a panellist on the plenary panel, Transformational leadership in TH&E education, sharing perspectives alongside academic and industry representatives from around the world.
Professor Simon Pawson, Professor Peter Ryan, Mr Simon Lloyd, Dr Ivan Ninov and Mr Risto Karmavuo were also re-elected to the Board of Directors.
Following the AGM, Professor Simon Pawson was elected as Chair of THE-ICE Board, with Mr Simon Lloyd elected as Deputy Chair.
THE-ICE extends its sincere thanks to Ms Gienke Osinga for her valued leadership and contribution as Chair of THE-ICE Board. Ms Osinga, who has served as a Director since 2018 and as Chair since 2023, will continue her service as a Director.
