School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts

Taylor’s School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts is Southeast Asia’s largest and most established hospitality and tourism management institution with over 20 years of experience. The School was awarded the prestigious Hospitality Asia Platinum Award (HAPA) for Hospitality School of the Year in 2007/2008, an Honorary Award for Hospitality Education Excellence in 2010-2012, and was the Gold Award Winner in 2008 for the Education and Training Category from Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).

Academic Excellence

The School is the first and only institution in Malaysia to offer a ‘3+0’ French Bachelor degree program in Hospitality & Tourism Management and a Professional Master in International Tourism & Hospitality Management, programmes that are internationally recognised.  These programmes are nationally accredited  by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and were developed with strong Industry linkages with delivery taking place in industry-acclaimed facilities.

tu-lakeside-campus-3-300wTaylor’s University is also the first institution in Malaysia to gain full accreditation of the programmes offered through their School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts by THE-ICE (the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education).  THE-ICE is recognised as one of the world’s leading international accreditation agencies and an authority for excellence in higher education in the fields of tourism, hospitality, events and culinary arts through their extensive quality review process.

Taylor’s dedicated teaching faculty comprises close to 100 full-time local and international staff who are experts in the field and providee education and training to help develop students academically, intellectually and professionally.

Research & Industry Excellence

Research is organised around the Centre for Innovation and Research in Tourism which includes three main axes: Tourism, Food, and Hospitality. The research is coordinated at the school level by the Associate Dean of Research and at the University Level by the research department. The school also conducts research through the Ruemz R&D Hotel.

January 2010 unveiled the brand new home of Malaysia’s Largest Hospitality School, located at Taylor’s Lakeside Campus, well equipped with high technology facilities for hands-on learning, students enjoy a wholesome learning experience that prepares them for the real working environment.

The Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus is located at No 1 Jalan Taylor’s, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.
