Students come to our Manly campus from many countries around the world. Included on campus is the ICMS Grand Dining Room, which is open to the public. Here our hospitality students serve guests and learn through practical experience.

International Tourism, Hospitality Management and Event Management Studies

The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) offers degrees and diplomas in hospitality, business, events, international business and international tourism. We combine theory with practical training and included in our degrees is up to 1,200 hours of industry training. Both international and domestic students study at ICMS, creating a diverse and international education. We are a global college with international students and graduates from more than 40 countries.

ICMS also offers international study opportunities with many partner institutions in countries in Europe and the Americas including Johnson & Wales University (USA), San Francisco State University (USA) and César Ritz Colleges (Switzerland).

ICMS also offers a comprehensive industry training program, during which students gain up to 1,200 hours of work placement. Students also learn directly from industry through on-site visits and guest lectures.

Research and Awards

ICMS lecturers have written numerous papers, contributed to industry journals and been involved in international and local conferences such as CAUTHE and MEA. Published articles span topics from tourism, teaching and learning, philosophies of management and culinary education.

ICMS is an award-winning institution, gaining many awards in the areas of; Education and Training, Marketing, Business, Tourism, and including Premiers Awards.

The Founder of ICMS, Mr. Darryl Courtney-O’Connor has also been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2013 for his significant service to the tourism and hospitality sector, and to the development of industry education.
