With over 30 years offering education based on the values of quality and excellence, César Ritz Colleges Switzerland (CRCS) has built a worldwide reputation offering programmes in Hospitality and Tourism Management, with a strong focus on entrepreneurship.
The programmes at CRCS are based on the philosophy of César Ritz, founder of the famous Ritz hotels, who is recognized as the pioneer of luxury hotels. With hard work, innovation, flair and a touch of class, César Ritz accomplished an unprecedented career in the hospitality industry and rose to legendary status. It is his tradition of luxury, excellence and service that has set the standards for hotels and restaurants throughout the world.
Tourism & Hospitality School
CRCS is a school with three fantastic locations throughout Switzerland. Bachelor students can choose to start their studies in either French-speaking Le Bouveret or German-speaking Lucerne, where the emphasis is on practical skills and premium customer service. During the final year all students are located in German-speaking Brig, where studies focus on the managerial and strategic aspects of international business.
All Postgraduate and Master’s courses are held in Brig and are designed for university graduates or candidates with extensive work experience, who seek a career change or wish to advance their existing career in the global hospitality and tourism industry.
The multi-campus approach balances theoretical and practical learning resources through a combination of traditional and state-of-the-art facilities. Each campus has its own modern library providing access to a specialized collection of books and research materials. An innovative and online facility allows students to search for and reserve materials and also offers access to an extensive collection of electronic resources.
All students receive an iPad on arrival, which they use throughout their studies and is theirs to keep after graduation as César Ritz Colleges is committed to using the latest technologies to aid students in their studies.

Research and Industry Programmes
The University Center Brig is the research center of César Ritz Colleges and has attracted research focused PhD holders with extensive research records.
In 2012 César Ritz Colleges Switzerland became the first hotel management school in Switzerland to replace textbooks with iPads in keeping with today’s digital native learning.
In 2013 Dr Lily Lin featured two of our executive team members for her publication ‘Interviewing Successful Hotel Managers’, with Florent Rondez (CEO) and Benoit Samson (Chief Brand Officer) being selected. The book review states:
It helps educators as well as researchers to acquire a better understanding of the perspectives of successful practitioners, who obviously exert considerable influences in their business on both day-to-day decision-making and strategic thinking. In addition and hopefully, it will contribute to industry understanding of how different managers think about and deal with various business issues.
Winning the coveted first prize at the 2013 Washington State University (WSU) annual Business Plan Competition was a huge achievement for César Ritz students Arabella Morgan, Susi Li, Alex Badrutt, Hogni Audunsson, and Elias Feghali. Their business project ‘To provide alternative well maintained living facility that is a sustainable, affordable and comfortable environment for students in Geneva’ impressed judges and put them first, ahead of over 40 teams. The Business Plan is an integral part of the César Ritz dual degree Bachelor program, offered in partnership with WSU. Students are supported to develop a business model ready to implement upon graduation, bringing the reality of the business world into the classroom so students can graduate ready for career success.
Each semester César Ritz and SEG (Swiss Education Group) students are given the opportunity to participate at the SEG International Recruitment Forum, offering students exclusive access to some of the best career opportunities with over 100 industry partners.
